A redesign is needed when the site looks outdated, clients don't get as far as an enquiry, or the old code is hard to change.

When you need a redesign

  • the site is many years old and looks outdated;
  • it is awkward or breaks on a phone;
  • visitors leave without sending an enquiry;
  • the site is slow, and the old code won't let you speed it up;
  • the business has changed: new services, a new name, a new audience.

Types of redesign

  • Visual: a new look with the same structure. Faster and cheaper.
  • Structural: reworking sections, the path to an enquiry, navigation.
  • Technical: a new stack under the hood, the same look. See website speed-up.
  • Full: new structure, design and code. In effect, a new site.

What is important to keep

The main risk of a redesign is losing search positions. So I:

  • keep page addresses, and where they change, set up redirects;
  • move the headings, descriptions and content that bring traffic;
  • check the site in Google Search Console before and after launch.

What is included

  • Analysis of the current site: what works, what gets in the way, what visitors look at.
  • New structure and design, or markup of your design from Figma.
  • Development: fast, mobile-friendly, with content management if needed.
  • Moving the content and setting up redirects.
  • Launch and checking the metrics.
  • 30-day warranty: after launch I fix errors in my work free of charge. New features and changes are separate, see support.

How much a redesign costs

It depends on the scope: how many pages, whether the structure changes, whether you need a new design and which stack. A redesign is usually cheaper than building from scratch when the content and structure stay.

Show me your current site and tell me what you want to change, and I will give a price and timeline.

How the work goes

  1. Analysis: I look at the site, its goal and its problems.
  2. Decisions: what to change and what to keep.
  3. Development with interim results shown along the way.
  4. A launch with a check of your positions and support afterwards.
