Website speed-up

A slow site loses visitors before the first screen appears, and Google takes speed into account when ranking.

I take a site that loads slowly, find the causes and speed it up.

Rewriting everything from scratch is usually not needed for this.

Signs your site needs speeding up

  • a page takes more than a few seconds to open, especially on a phone;
  • PageSpeed Insights shows red scores;
  • ads bring visitors, but they leave before the page loads;
  • blocks "jump" while the page loads;
  • the site responds slowly to taps and clicks.

What I speed up

  • First screen loading: heavy images, fonts that block rendering, extra scripts.
  • Core Web Vitals: the metrics Google uses in search: how fast the main content appears, layout shifts, responsiveness.
  • Images: modern formats, correct sizes, lazy loading.
  • JavaScript: I remove extra libraries and split the code so the page doesn't load everything at once.
  • Caching on the hosting and CDN.
  • Server and database: slow queries, hosting that can't handle the load.

What I work with

Vue, Nuxt, React, WordPress, plain HTML and CSS. If you have a different stack, write to me and I will take a look.

How much it costs

It depends on the causes: sometimes compressing images and setting up caching is enough, sometimes a deeper rework is needed. So I first do a short audit and then name a price for specific fixes.

How the work goes

  1. Audit: I measure speed and list the problems by impact.
  2. Estimate: what to fix first and how long it will take.
  3. Fixes on a test copy, so the live site keeps running.
  4. Checking and comparing the metrics before and after.

Need not only a speed-up but a new look? See website redesign. Need regular care? See website support and rework.
